Mitjançant el Centre de Creació Casa Planas vam impulsar un programa de residències d’investigació de creadors i pensadors al voltant de l’art. La durada varia en funció de les necessitats del projecte. Es valoren especialment els projectes de mediació que tenen un retorn social directe amb el nostre camp de treball i el nostre barri, o que estiguin relacionats amb la temàtica d’arxius, postals, paisatge, turisme i memòria per tornar vida a l’Arxiu Planas i evitar que caigui en l’oblit. També tenim un especial interès en les disciplines audiovisuals, performatives i de mediació.
En aquest programa es desenvolupen pràctiques artístiques, processos d’investigació, taules rodones, tallers, trobades entre artistes, comissaris, col·lectius i professionals de sector. També té com a objectiu d’apostar projectes nacionals i internacionals per aproximar projectes de l’exterior als artistes de les illes. Aquest programa pretén promoure la investigació amb laboratoris experimentals que permetin proves d’assaig-error tan necessàries en la creació.
Des de 2019 aquest programa està coproduït amb el Goethe-Institut.
Rep el suport de l’Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics, Consell de Mallorca i l’Ajuntament de Palma a través del seu programa de subvencions.

Convocatòries internacionals
A través del Centro de Creación Casa Planas impulsamos un programa de residencias de investigación de creadores y pensadores alrededor del arte. La duración varía en función de las necesidades del proyecto. Se valoran especialmente los proyectos de mediación que tienen un retorno social directo con nuestro campo de trabajo y nuestro barrio, o que estén relacionados con la temática de archivos, postales, paisaje, turismo y memoria para devolver vida al Archivo Planas y evitar que caiga en el olvido. También tenemos un especial interés en las disciplinas audiovisuales, performativas y de mediación.
En este programa se desarrollan prácticas artísticas, procesos de investigación, mesas redondas, talleres, encuentros entre artistas, comisarios, colectivos y profesionales del sector. También tiene como objetivo de apostar proyectos nacionales e internacionales para aproximar proyectos del exterior a los artistas de las islas. Este programa pretende promover la investigación con laboratorios experimentales que permitan pruebas de ensayo-error tan necesarias en la creación.
Desde 2019 este programa está coproducido con el Goethe-Institut.

Convocatorias internacionales
Art Residency in Palma from CASA PLANAS was initiated in 2016. Its main objective engenders the creation of a personalized and independent exchange among regional, national and international artists. It allows for mutual enrichment through professional and emotive approaches for new experiences and aesthetic realities. The resident / visiting artists/curator or investigatigation researcher enjoy a dynamic and vibrant time frame for working; they have a studio to develope their projects. They also network with and within the local art community, cultural institutions and the public at large.
Casa Planas offers a complete international Artist in Residency Program. Each artist or curator eceives exclusive and highly-personalised support from the Art Residency in Palma.
For us, every artist and every day of the residence is important, from the arrival, through the project and the final exhibition. We give preponderance to art but also to the emotional aspect of the experience.
We propose 2 residency programs
PROGRAM 1
ARTISTS / CURATORS without EXHIBITION
Recommended for artist-curators or artists who wish to develop research investigation projects or works in progress without the opportunity to exhibit.
Includes:
– A full studio 24 hrs. / 7 days
– Curatorial assistance
– Set-up of the exhibition
– Assistance in professional networking
– Finding local resources
– Information about daily life as well as the local arts scene
– Assistance with research, production and post-production of work
Residency fees do not include:
– Airfares, transport, visas, airport pick-up or return
General living costs such as food, health and travel insurance, materials, etc
Accommodation is not included

Disciplines
Casa Planas is open to emerging and established artists from all disciplines within the visual arts. It is also open to emerging and established researchers & curators from all disciplines
Studio / Workspace
Thanks to the configuration of the space, artists are able to combine their stay and production within the same residence and in great conditions.
Fees and support
Fee 400€/ 30 days
Casa Planas is an independent project with some institutional support but we are currently unable to provide financial support for visiting artists.
Artists can apply for grants and scholarships in their home country Residency.

Expectations towards the artist
Each artist, curator or researcher receives exclusive and highly-personalised support from the Casa Planas team. The team provides support for all aspects of the residency
